Good points.

You were responding to this question though...

"Which superpower will stop him?"

You mention Israel, Pakistan, and India...I'm not sure why.

Factor out Pakistan as superpowers wanting to stop Iraq.

Pakistan is a one eyed jack that would require a civil war first. Depending on the outcome of that, you MIGHT see them as an oppositional superpower (I doubt it)...the weakest one in the world...

India???

cosmic,

re:Don't you think that Israel, Pakistan, and India are a credible force in the mid-East and south Asia? Certainly enough to keep ole Saddam from marching to the sea like a modern day Sherman?

Credible forces yes, political will to do anything - No. They certainly can't be expected to work together, especially Pakistan and India. I doubt that Saddam has aspirations in their direction, except for Israel which I think Saddam believes if he destroys - he will be a hero in the Muslim world forever. Perhaps he's looking for a place in history.

re:When are we going to stop having planes crashed into us

I'm fairly sure we are not behind the controls on that issue. If we catch any, perhaps we should kill them and their entire family, it works for Saddam and Kim Jong Il. ;-)

re:so that Israel can bulldoze Palestinians in their homes

It's an Israeli policy, not something we may agree with - I know they would stop if the suicide bombers would stop. I'm certain they haven't been doing preemptive house bulldozing of future suicide bombers.

What I don't understand is why people think Israel should stop responding as though that would somehow change things. Palestinians need to control their stupid kids and negotiate for what they want - unless they just want Israels destruction - in which case keep the bulldozers warmed up and rockets ready.
