Rollcast, Some believe Bush to be evil. Some believe him to be dumb. How do we have a meaningful dialogue here if folks base their views on either one or the other or both? I will give those folks this--Republicans did a good job of demonizing clinton. I really do wonder how this thread would line up if Gore was president now and the policy toward iraq was similar? Genuine beliefs have nothing to do with it, eh? No chance of their acting out of true concern? Oh, sorry, should have expanded that comment. I completely believe that both belief structures are not only capable of being there at the same time but, in this case, would not be the least surprised if they were. I also think that's the way most politicians operate. I simply prefer mine with a bit more irony. In addition, to a long list of policy preferences with which I won't bore you.
