tell me why you think the general public is in disbelief about gold being in a bull mkt. I don't see that at all. What I see are gold funds popping up all over the place and a bunch of fast money in gold.

If you want to talk about disbelief I would say look at tech stocks where people are *refusing* to believe there could be any sort of fundamental recovery in any sector, even though some stocks keep grinding up. It was an anomaly in 99 (to put it mildly) that every tech sector went up at the same time. That is usually not the case. In the early 90s software was hot (only new software, client/server) and big iron crashed, market was pretty flat or down in 94. Then in 98 we had a software and SCE meltdown and we all remember what happened to the inets. Doesn't seem much different to me now than the early 90s.
