i did find a freeware utility (that i linked here on the thread) that locks all the icons so safe mode couldn't scramble them. just never have used it. Wish there was a utility to eliminate icons altogether. Why do we need them. Just arrange the title bars in alphabetical order and they could be found just as easily. Icons take up more room on the desktop than necessary. Maybe I have an idea, reduce the size to smallest and then alpha them. And, if your utility would lock them it would be stable. Would it work? May try it. Rap
