Actually, credit for that also primarily falls to the US. Because US policy, and Britain's reliance upon us during the war, led to decolonozation by all the former imperial powers, including France, Belgium, and the Dutch..

Churchill, for all of his pugnacious brilliance, was an imperialist (and unashamedly so). The botched French-British-Israeli attempt to recapture the Suez canal was the final straw for Britain's imperial aspirations.. And Eisenhower's forceful demand for a withdrawal from Suez put the nail in the coffin...

Let's see they created the Middle East Problems, India and Pakistan and their problems, Zimbabwe, among the chief spots and you want to give them credit! If those are the best we can come up with, the Pro-Listen to Europe side is in some deep doo-doo!
