Not at all. I have the right to call you un-American, and if you are so insecure about your patriotism to allow my comment to shut you down, then perhaps you ought not have spoken in the first dang place. What is un-American is using the might of local and/or federal government to force people to do what does not correspond to their human nature. Generally speaking, were I to use force to punish you for or stop you from voicing what I think are un-American ideas, then I would be acting un-American. Positing such force to silence our adversaries (as some here have done), or to force Americans to support such things as homosexual conduct (as many wish to do), is to posit un_American ideas.
