With gold the big question mark now is the Chinese market and their sort of totalitarian government. With all the American (and some others too)manufacturing having moved to mainland China, their Dollar income has swollen beyond their need for paying imports. What are they suppose to do with their excess dollar income, knowing what we assume to be a fading dollar? What better way than to let their people have fun and buy a gold chain or a gold coin. This process should please just about every one but the gold shorters. The Chinese government gets rid of dollar surplus, the Chinese people get some imagined wealth, the American government lowers their trade deficit and I may get a fairer price for my (as yet) gold in the ground. If I should be so lucky and make some money in the process even my government will make some.Seems like a win-win situation for most.
