But the problem is that if there had been a determination to win at all costs, Bill would have been taken down, The chosen venue to take Clinton down, with a ruthless hunt for dirt combined with manufactured and planted evidence, was through the highly visible impeachment procedings. Then, as now in the UN, people balk when they must commit their misdeeds on international TV instead of behind the doors of lawyers and PIs. Enough choked when the time came that they could not get the results they wanted. Just because the right wing screwed up their final lunge for the kill does not mean they didn't press the attack to the best of their abilities. Clinton was just better. TP
