Many people would really be for it and most of the rest would say they where. Different people would see different things as dishonest and the things everyone sees as dishonest probably everyone would be against, even if some people say "its no big deal", or "it was just sex". payroll tax cuts Not a bad idea. But tricky to put in place because they feed Social Security and Medicare. In general I am for lower taxes and lower spending. and fair play. Another thing that means different things to different people. I dont want any welfare state. Any at all? and let Bill Gates have an extra 25 billlion he doesn't even want If he doesn't want it, have him contact me. I'll be willing to take it. Or if he thinks the government should have it I think they accept checks. while the billionaires skip the country with their loot. The higher the tax rates the more the rich will try to "skip the country with their loot". Power will corrupt. One reason I am for smaller government. The Environmental president, the education president, Leave No Child Behind, Clear Skies, Healthy Forests, Axis of Evil - all a buncha BS and you all ought to realize it. Axis of Evil is anything but BS. Some of the others contain some BS but they do whenever any politician states them. The president can't decide everything on those issues, but if he says its the states job, or the environment will get a tiny bit better but only very slowly, then he will lose votes. Unfortantly you can't get electedwithout slinging a little BS. But Bush's BS is not worse then average. CLinton BS'ed too but GW has raised it to a high art form. Clinton was probably the best at it and did it reguarly. As for Rumsfield, he comes from military corporations and stands to profit a lot from deals like SDI. Anything he did own in that area would have to be divesteted when he took his position. Before he was asked by Bush to lead the DoD he was retired. Also his opinions on this go way back to his earliest days dealing with security issues before he was involved with defense companies. Tim
