I can see where you got the "threat" languaging...from that op/ed piece your URL'd. I simply don't understand why there has to be 'competition between fiats...they weren't designed to be competitors, but compadres, simply to facilitate trade on a global basis. Remember, 56 nations with 56 separate currencies in circulation ALL thought that working toward a minimum of 3 majors fiat units was the best of the best ideas, and decided on the order. Islamists weren't as big a player back in those days.. we hadn't developed their luscious oil fields for them yet, nor had President to come Eisenhower turned yellow and caved into Islamist blackmail, selling out the yankee imperialist capitalists and squandered hundreds of millions of shareholder equity when Islamists nationalized the oilfields developed by US Money/US technology and US capitalism BY ISLAMIST INVITATION NO LESS.
