Blame the big farmers in south Texas for so many illegal aliens. They lobby the Governor and President and they turn a blind eye. Cheap plantation style labor. No health care or benefits. I have no idea why this is allowed. Probably another form of corporate welfare that ought to be phased out. Like those huge sugar plantations in Florida that get whopping subsidies every year for no good reason. One reason they get them is that they line the governor's pockets with fat campaign checks.
