Drilling off California's coast would solve no energy problems. A drop in the bucket in exchange for enormous potential damage. Not to mention an eyesore. Californians are overwhelmingly against using our coast for oil profits. That said, we do need to convince more Californians to lose the SUV's they dont need, unless of course they really need them. Too many little ladies driving around by themselves in gas guzzlers. It was Union Oil (I believe that's the one) by the way which originally scuttled the trams and public transport in LA. That was in the bad old days when a single company could corrupt city hall.
