Hi Muthasamy:

Re Dresdner ... I can't tell much more than what you probably already know. It's one of the big five German banks; it got taken over by Allianz (which is the big grey insurance eminence from Munich) few years ago. It was one of the reasons for a nasty Allianz numbers end of 2002 and I dont know if things have cleared since.

All of the banks got their fingers burnt in US, but as I understand Dresdner excelled at that.

Allianz - well, the old CEO (Nolte or whatever his name was) stepped back to make room and play the scape goat. The new CEO ran the US investment operation or something of this kind. Of course this is no guarantee he will know how to steer clear of the rocks. The rocks of course has been the sucking sound of markets destroying their rainy-days piggy banks.

I know Im no big help. Let me know if there's anything specific you would need to know.

>>as I have most of my 'nest egg' with them<< Any specific reason? Why not spread the risk
