mis, as ugly as the debt burden looks in the US, it is not nicer in EZ or China. The difference is, that there is corporate or "Gov. corporate" who have the "ugly debt" under covers. Fiat money is stretched to their limits all over the globe.

"Old Europe" now is not what Europe was 15 years ago from a productivity point of view, lazy fare and socialist norms took over.

Work rules and commerce are not flexible, unadjusted for modern times, and true entrepreneurs with out the "right social connections" or knowledge to bribe are dead on arrival. The environment is improving but much slower than the exchange rates indicate.

In Germany major banks are teetering with bankruptcy even that it is not mentioned in public circles.

As to the EUR until the Germans will not come to their senses and throw the SPD out of governments there is little chance that the economic picture will change there. Schröder is one of those "one in a lifetime" accidents that happen to a nation IMHO including the Green Party which are nothing more than far left socialists.

On top of all that France has one of the more double faced sleazy scam bags in politics running their country as such what one can expect from the "Old Europe". Unfortunate France does not have a true democracy as we enjoy in the US (but they do have VERY big noisy mouths).

Even their Central Banker and proposed head of the ECB stands trial for sleaze ....... (which I guaranty that will be cleaned in due process) ..... just to look "presidential" ....... so Europeans will need to put up with another French sleaze bag as head of the ECB.

Keep in mind that the French do not carry the reputation of "whores" for nothing ....... I only wonder why they blame the woman's on their male misdeeds ....... possible cultural differences ....... as the French invented the perfume to cover up for all their stinking business for hundred of years
