Win,

In general I agree with you - the idea that dissent is part of the democratic process, and the specific of Scott being able to post his views.

However, he regularly posts very outrageous posts from sources so wacco as to make Debka look liberal when posted by our pro-war crowd :-)

Now if the anti-Bush crowd would stop making 'consider the source' and dripping sarcastic comments about posts from what they consider to be right wing sources, your comments wouldn't be hypocritical, but as it is they are.

I tried to start a dialogue a while back on generally agreeable sources - but it disolved quickly - and it wasn't Paul.

The outrage from some of us who back the war, but who otherwise hold fairly liberal social policy views, is that the protest is just anti-Bush and does not look at the policies themselves. The jump to demonize the administration is so much like the Newt Gingrich Republicans and their dealings with Clinton - its scary.

And yes I will freely admit there are people around who are pro-war for imperialistic and even racist reasons, but to assume all of us are - puts you on a par with those you damn for demonizing the protestors.

John
