To: TobagoJack who wrote (28328 ) 2/2/2003 1:01:46 AM From: Maurice Winn Respond to of 74559 Jay, you were obviously speed reading, too dozey, drunk or otherwise occupied and completely missed the point of Q currency. Your lesson for today, being Day 1 of Year of Sheeple, is to re-read and try to get to grips with the idea. I suspect a recalcitrant attitude will lead you instead to Unreal Tournament and troppo dissolution. Not everyone picks up each opportunity which passes them by. Especially when, as with all opportunities, there is some risk of serious loss for those who attempt to create the service. Regarding your trading strategy, that's a noble task you are undertaking. To risk your wealth in an attempt to be better than the rest at smoothing the peaks and troughs of the market will help the ordinary of us to lead more stable lives. Thank you. Be warned however, that there is some competition in that job. Those who are not the champions, possessing the championship heuristic learn-as-you-go systems, will be mere fodder for the championship providers of that service. There is some serious, well-funded talent pursuing that line of business. You will not be modeling human reactions. You will be modeling model reactions, including your own models. You will only know after the event if yours is in the game or not. Early success will NOT be any assurance that your model is doing other than taking the bait of a more superior model, which can watch your every move with amusement. If you profit, you deserve it. There is no law of nature which says life need be difficult. In fact, there is a law of nature which says life will be easy, for the talented who create major value for hordes of others at little cost to themselves. There seems to be no end of opportunities to improve the lives of billions of people. Smoothing the judder bars in the road is a worthwhile occupation. One way to do it is to use your gold to fill in the holes, while others take the gold off the peaks, thus, between you, leaving a nice, smooth road for the rest of us. It is better to take the bumps than fill the hollows. Mqurice
