DWB, I cannot imagine the sense of grief and loss you must feel. As much as you may wish to tough this one out and get right back up on your horse, I would encourage you and your family to seek professional counseling to help you through this tragedy. These things have a way of sneaking up on you. Thank you for sharing this with us. You and your family will be in our prayers. God bless. . .

Oh, DWB, how poignant. The only consolation is, as was said by NASA officials, the families will receive unbelievable support. God gives us these crosses to bear - they are but annoyances because in the end all loved ones will be together.

<< Trust me when I say that these were some of the finest humans you would ever want to meet. >>

From what we have read and heard, they were not only very gifted individuals, but also much loved by their families, friends and coworkers. My family is heartbroken over the loss of these wonderful people, and, yet, we didn't even know them.

I sometimes wonder if we are better off NOT knowing them, because then the pain is easier to bear. But, the answer always comes back, that you are the fortunate one, for having known them.

Thanks for telling us about your experiences with America's lost heroes.

I have prayed for the crew. I have also prayed for every person that was involved in this mission in any way. You are in my prayers. As you well know nothing this complicated is routine. You understood that as did the astronaut's. We laymen understand it now as well.

I'd like to ask everyone to take a moment and say a prayer for the families they left behind.

I have done so. Thank you for reminding the thread....
