I happen to FAVOR a new era of Imperialism. If the 20th Century and 91101 teaches us ANYTHING, it's that Western imperialism was pre-maturely abandoned...

Umm, this country was based on military conquest of the American natives and didn't the USA take just a tad of land from Mexico? Also, I believe Hawaii was conquered by the USA. The South was incorporated into the USA by military conquest, too. My history knowledge isn't that great, but to say that this country has never engaged in military conquest is disingenuous, IMO.
