I see they've narrowed the nine down to two, now (nos. 1 & 6 from your link). The "Wedge of Light" shining each Sep. 11 shows a great deal of thought. (Well, our orbit and rotation fluctuation will screw that up eventually, but...).

Coincidentally, I was just talking to a friend in the Midwest who offered without any prompting, "Why don't they just rebuild them exactly as they were? It would send a strong statement to those bastards." Too bad we can't do a national petition on this. Although I'm loathe to suggest that anyone outside of NYC should have any say (it's *your* city), I think a lot of people would support the obvious pride demonstrated by a true re-build (not a "build something else"). They can't take that away from us, so to speak.
