Why would we possibly take a a risk on NK doing something with its nukes, when we can just starve him out. It is said, over 10 mil people would starve without food handouts. KIms time is limited, he just doesn't know it yet.

People are amazingly resilient creatures. As a result, it can take a long, long time to "starve" someone out. Particularly when the PEOPLE are starving but not the leadership.

That said, we have no alternative right now other than waiting to see if it'll go ahead & collapse under its own weight. It certainly doesn't make sense to get into a war with them when there IS an excellent chance of such a collapse...

They can live off tree bark and dead bodies. They've done it before.

The other fear is a NK base commander on the DMZ will defect with his troops and the move will be interpreted as an invasion and a full scale war will start.
