During the recent worldwide anti-Iraq war demonstrations 6000 people marched in Paris.

And where this comes from, alas, is weakness. Being weak after being powerful is a terrible thing. It can make you stupid.

BINGO! Give Friedman a gold star!! He finally gets it.

I love his insights, the thinking coming from on-the-ground experience, his humanity, etc., as respects the ME. This statement finally shows that his insight is a lot more far-ranging than I thought.
