More Didiocy.

The New York Times, in its own inimitable fashion, slyly accused Bush of sending Americans into war for political gain:

Time is getting short," the New York Times warned Americans in July, "for decisions that have to be made if the goal is to take action early next year, before the presidential election cycle intrudes."

Then Didion adds That last clause bore study., apparently regarding the NYTimes' accusation as proof positive of guilt.

The rest deserves fisking but I can't bring myself to waste the time. More whining about suppression of dissent But to ask those questions was sissy, not muscular, more belief that those people she talks to in bookstores really must be representative of America, never mind Mr. Gallup, more petulant dismissal of the Bush administration's policies as institutional petulance, as if nobody had bothered to make any arguments or discuss the matter with any allies.
