It's not obvious that Saddam has a State and police action is not applicable, unlike transnational terrorists? That this was precisely the reason that it was necessary to invade Afghanistan, for example - because OBL had the protection of the de facto State - while it is not necessary to invade, say, Germany because the terrorists there do not enjoy the protection of the State?

If that's the sort of "contradictions" that are tripping people up, well I imagine they have a hard time with 2+2.
