Slider - great paragraph! Your points on the cost of insurance and medical cost increase is right on! Each of those is driven by the darlings of the Dems - Trial Layers. It will be real interesting to watch John Edwards over the next months.

"And you know what; concerning "Big Oil" - I can't help but notice that we have the World's greatest highway system, the widest selection of the World's finest Automobiles, virtually the lowest gasoline prices & energy costs on Earth and that my Oil, Gas and energy costs (and correspondingly - the profits that I send "Big Oil") have remained amazingly low and under control in contrast to the outrageous escalation in my medical, insurance and healthcare costs; or the taxes I pay on income, property and purchases - where a huge portion is blown on mismanaged liberal social feel-good POLITICAL programs ?"

If we did not meddle in Afganistan, if our own CIA did not train Bin Laden, if we did not have troops on Saudi Arabia, if we had a more even handed approach to Palestine and Israel, If we did not have troops all over the world where they did not belong, if we did not go butting our nose into business where it did not belong, if we did not prop up corrupt regimes because of ties to US corporations, if we did not go around acting like big bullies, if we did not proclaim ourselves to be the world's policeman, if we did not go around breaking treaties because it suited us, if we did not go around arming half our enemies on the stupid belief that they were fighting an even bigger enemy of ours, if we did not give Hussein reason to believe we did not really cake about Kuwait, if we did not seem so wishy washy on foreign policy depending on what dictator we were dealing with.......

And probably 500 what ifs
Then perhaps this world would be a hell of a lot better off than it it.

78% of Europe thinks the US is the biggest threat to world peace. I agree. Bush and Rumsfeld are a damn dangerous gun slinging combination to even admit to casually discussing the use of Nuclear weapons right now.

Bush#1 F*d up big time by not finishing the job when he had the chance. Baby Bush has compoiunded the sad state of affairs by over playing flimsy evidence and not telling the truth about the reasons and necessity of this war (It has about 2% to do with WMDs and about 98% oil and revenge).

Finally if you are going to do what you are going to do then you may as well do it. Now he looks like both a war monger and a wimp at the same time (which is a difficult achievement). He has pissed off the maximun number of people, and I bet within days of a US attack on Iraq, there will be terrorist attacks attacks against US interests at home as well as abroad.

Go back to that first long paragraph.
Take just a few of those out and there would not have been a 911 at all.

Here, let me take some out and see what happens.
1) We do not train Bin Laden
2) We do not give chemicals and arms to Hussein
3) We do not support a corrupt Shah of Iran.
4) We do not keep troops in Saudi Arabia
5) We do have a more even handed approach towards Isreal and Palestine
6) We do finish the job in Iraq the first time

Both Bushes as well as the clown in between, have had major major F ups that directly or indirectly led to the mess we are in right now.

Baby Bush is going down in flames come next election and I will be happy to see him go.

M
