Heard of the Oil for Food program? Who gets that money? Shah of Iran? Human rights issues in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait? We sell OUR oil to Japan. Brent North Sea mostly goes to Europe. Shall we now talk about our role in South America? It is willful ignorance to not admit that statement is true, more so than with wind, solar and nuclear.

Nuclear's failure is almost entirely due to the fact that every reactor design is almost a prototype and we haven't developed more safety. We could burn U235 and U238 to "ash" but we are afraid of Pu isotopes, and we don't advocate breeder designs due to our fear of nuclear proliferation. If you went to GM and them to build a car with exactly 132 HP and 119.65 inch wheelbase and 4 doors, made out of titanium, how much would it cost and how reliable would it be?
