Their population density is very high relative to energy use. Arable land shouldn't be replaced with solar. You propose they replace agriculture with solar farms? The French Riviera is very small and highly populated. Sure, roof top solar could work there, but that isn't what they have "championed", now is it? And what about the night life? Solar is not a stand alone solution.

Refer to this initial post. It just isn't that controversial.
