That's quite a fairy tale. Perhaps he also has some baby-incubator stories to share? He takes Saddam's positive achievements:

Before 1990, the Iraqi people had one of the highest standards of living of any Third World country.

. . . and attributes them to the monarchy that predated Saddam:

This was because of an educational program with state subsidies initiated during the monarchy, which ended in 1958.

. . . thus revealing his contempt for his audience (he was correct, in your case).

But this raises an interesting question: if the monarchy was so good, and Saddam was so evil, why did the U.S. support Saddam in his successful military coup?
