Bush went to the UN because of the polls.

This is not true and provides further evidence of how uninformed you are. Bob Woodward's excellent book details the facts surrounding Bush's decision, and it was totally and indisputably motivated by a meeting with Powell & Rice during which Powell presented his case effectively and at the end of the meeting the decision was made.

Like excellent leaders do, he listened to his advisors, weighed the alternatives, and made the decision.

The liberal media had previously proclaimed Bush to be thinking of unilateral action, all the while Bush is shouting at the top of his lungs, "No decision has been made yet".

Just typical liberal hysteria.
