Nice post. FWIW, I think you have a good handle on the sexual harassment issue. We are the way we are. Otherwise rational people can get a little overboard on this subject, IMO...

No one was worried that Clinton had sex out of wedlock with someone who was definitely a subordinate, and close to the age of his daughter.
They were concerned that he lied under oath in court and to the American people.

Nixon lied about 18 minutes of missing tape and was run out of town on a rail, and made to resign in disgrace.

What I am saying is that Monica went out of her way to have sex with CLinton............he is a sexy guy and many women claim he has tons of charisma.

This is an idiotic statement if ever there was one.

Clinton was the most powerful man in the world. Lewinsky was a near-teenager, inexperienced, infatuated, silly. There cannot be a consensual arrangement between two such individuals. The imbalance of power between them places the moral imperative on Clinton to behave in an appropriate manner. His actions were, from a rational perspective, tantamount to a sexual assault.

What Clinton did was not that different from the use of a "date rape" drug -- except in this case, the drug was power.

Regardless of who made the initial advance, Clinton had a moral responsibility to walk away.

Has any subordinate of yours ever walked into your office, lifted her skirt and snapped her thong in front of you? Maybe if you were that lucky you might be tempted?
Don't try it. I'll call the cops.

Nice try at evasion. You do know that such things are prohibited in the military services, right? So let's try this again:
WHY SHOULD THE ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR A SUPERIOR BE LESS THAN FOR A SUBORDINATE?

Try answering that.

it is totally impossible to stop men and women from being interested in each other.
It is totally impossible to keep people from murdering each other. Because of that, should it be legal?

You call that an argument? You better scoot back to that protected enclave of yours, the Jackass Stable.

I have known people that have married their bosses............many who have done that.
Times have changed, dearie. Lots of things used to happen that are illegal or frowned on now. And lots of things are accepted and legal that previously weren't.

And this sort of thing wasn't pushed by the masculine gender, so if you want to find the cause, get a mirror.

Frankly, I never thought that dating any of my bosses was a good idea because it interfers with the job.
I know a number of companies where you and your boss would be handed your heads.

You honestly see no problem here? Look at it from some other employees perspective: X gets preferential treatment because she/he is the boss's girl/boyfriend.

This is the stuff suits are made of. Plus she/he may later claim harassment. Companies with sense put a stop to this stuff these days because of the legal environment.

for some it was productive and they got promotions, etc.
PRECISELY! Thanks for making my point!

When you have men and women working together you will not be able to blackout all sexual thoughts.
We're not talking about thoughts, we're talking about ACTIONS. You don't get the difference? Let me try another simple analogy:
It is not illegal to think about murdering someone else.
It is illegal to do so.

He wasn't stalking her..............it was vice versa.
And Clinton had a responsibility to tell her to stop and behave like she was in a working environment. And instead did just the opposite.
In other words, Slick Willie got into trouble because he used his willie instead of his cerebrum.

Just read Lazuras' response to you, and he handed you your butt on a plate. I have just one question though. If Bush had done the same as Clinton, would you have called the young intern the stalker and supported Bush's acceptance of her overtures?

Think about that, and answer it honestly if you can.
