Yes, unfortunately there are some very stubborn and or egoistic people within NASA, more back then, less now, but still far too many in my honest opinion.
The least thing an important agency like NASA needs is people who place their egos above the common good, but unfortunately that is what we have had in the past, and to a lesser extent, still have today....
