Thanx; RE>>Orbital velocity is 17,000 mph, not 8,000mph<<
ya I missed putting the 1 in front of that 8000..
somewhere I saw 17500 as their orbit velocity,
but then also saw a max speed of 18000, that don't
seem to be as much as the Apollos got to, but it's
faster than I want to go.

After thought.
( we are all zipping along in orbit around a medium size sun at a speed of over 66,000 mi per hour on our
own space ship earth. )
& PS, a lot of the hawks don't belive that earths
orbit could be effected in a Nuke war..but it could,
and it wouldn't have to be by much either
for life support systems to fail.
