Unfortunately for Bush, Kerry will steal his military issue in 2004. Kerry is one of the most articulate military experts in our country, not to mention a bona fide war hero despite the fact he was a rich kid who could have avoided the war like Bush, Cheney, Delay, Hastert, Limbaugh and all the rest. That is why Kerry scares them and that is why they will think of anything, including his haircut to try and denigrate him. But it wont work. You watch. Kerry came out today to defend veterans rights. Bush has lied to vets and has denied them several of the rights he promised them, mainly penalizing disabled vets. And then he had the nerve to question veterans' patriotism in the last election. Bush talks tough but he is really a wimp deep down. He had his chance to prove himself a military man and went AWOL. Worse, he wasn't even punished because of daddy. Everything's because of daddy. Like it or not that's the true GW. -- On military budget surges, let's all not forget over-spending on anything including military is not a good thing. We dont want our free country turned into a garrison state like Saddam's or North Korea. Just what we really need and no more. That money comes right out of health care, education and other social programs. And war and oil do not a healthy economy make.
