Thanks for the link, Gottfried. There's a lot of info there. I'll try to find data that spans a number of years.

The stock purchase amount for all of Q3 seems so unreasonably small. The number for bonds seems more reasonable. However, coupled with US investor fund redemptions, maybe a small reduction in foreign investment can have a big effect on stock prices.

And the more scary thought is that the multi-$trillion dollar house of cards (stock market) is built on a small, fragile foundation of continual money inflows. And when the inflow stops or reverses, huge drops in market value can result.
