Jeff, by all means, invite Martha for dinner. If she turns you down, I am sure it will be done in a manner that will help you turn down similar invitations in the future, and if she accepts you will teach her a few things about being gracious and all of you will probably have a great time. Keep us posted and let us know what you are serving. Would a webcam be considered tacky? <s>

Maybe one day you'll get to meet her. Perfection is part of her persona, whether in business or in personal life. I've read some real horror stories about the way she's treated her friends and employees. Most of it confirmed by the people she mistreated. Don't think your wife need concern herself with thoughts of Martha prying into every nook & cranny. What appears to have pissed the SEC off was her reluctance to come forward with the truth. Martha Helen's story has changed many times. This fiasco has cost her some $400M. Most or all of it from the decrease in her stock value. She owns around 30M shares of MSO. Why she didn't just come right out and admit what she did and move on, is beyond me. Perhaps like other big wigs, she just thought it'd go away. I do agree the SEC seems to be pounding her harder than many others. Her infraction pales in comparison to Enron. And not one person from Enron or WorldCom has spent a day in jail. And that's extremely sad. As always, money talks.
