Mishedlo, you may know something about the markets but you have no inkling about which you speak on these issues. Saddam is a very credible risk. He will in the course of a year have the power to destroy complete countries and he is mad enough to do just that. You sit in total ignorance criticizing those we have elected and who have far more useful information upon which to make decisions than yourself.

When Hitler began his excursions in Europe few took him seriously. not until he had consolidated Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia were countries willing to step forward and face that megalomaniac. It was almost too late. Saddam will have more destructive power at his disposal in his "two bit" country in a few months than Hitler ever had.

I don't care a whit about your politics. You have no basis for calling Bush a liar. The last President earned that distinction. This one is willing to risk his chance for a second term in order to do what must be done.

Had Clinton not so emasculated himself by his sexual indiscretions and his lying about it, he might have done more than lob a cruise missile at an empty base camp after one of Bin Ladin's earlier terrorist attacks. Had he been Presidential when he needed to be, we might never have had to experience 911. The reason Bush can do what he is doing is because he is the leader we need during these difficult times. Moreover, he has the full support of the US military, something Clinton never had.

If you think I want war you are mistaken. But it's people like you who really concern me. You don't think anything is worth fighting for and that is too bad. When you represent the majority we will surely be a "has been" nation.

re: (a) Oil

...the only role that Oil plays here; is that we can not allow Saddam & Terrorists to use ME Oil as an Economic-Weapon of Mass Destruction...for which it easily can be used and at this point in time - could rock the Global Economy & Geopolitical balance to levels causing death, famine, war and human suffering to levels exponentialy exceeding any potential collateral damage seen in taking out Saddam.

(b) revenge

... lame.

(c) the economy ?

...you mean the mess that the Rubinites and Clinton & Co left us post the unbridled excesses of the late 90's Bubblemania & Moral Depravity Free For All ?

[" Hussein is no credible threat"]

...10 years have passed, along with exponential leaps in the technology that allowed Saddam to lob Scud's into Israel and kill thousands of Kurds with Bio-weapons.

His Black Market Oil proceeds are the #1 Global Source of Terrorist Financing and he is the deepest pocketed Global Terrorist that is aggressively accelerating his Nuclear & Bio Programs. His past ability and willingness to use them is already proven, his future willingness to use them against the US and Israel and our allies, is on record in both his public statements and his actions in aggressively seeking the final stages of his Nuclear Program.

re: [" Korea"]

... when, where & how we can.

Korea has over 1 Million of the World's most highly trained Troops massed on the border of South Korea. It has scores of ballistic missles cross-haired on Seoul - just 50ish miles away.

Once again; fighting EVIL was, is and never will be; a one-size fits all methodology.

Make no mistake; Korea and it's EVIL; will be dealt with.

It's beyond moronic to argue that if we're going to physically invade Iraq that we must also do the exact same thing in dealing with Korea, or even China etc.... simply moronic.

If you are sitting on your patio and have a misquitto land on your arm - you swat it.

If you are sitting on your patio and have a Bumble-Bee the size of Golf Ball land on your arm - you don't swat it...because obviously, you'll get stung and you'll suffer unacceptable collateral damage to your arm in the process - although the Bee will be dead.

Instead, you grab your can of Raid and start looking for the Nest.

We can swat Saddam and we'll be using "Raid" on Korea.

Both will be dealt with in the most expedient fashion available....not one size fits all.
