Maybe there have been some SOI issues, but I know for certain that
LowK at the .13um node has been a disaster for almost every company that
has used this backend dielectric process. It really looks like the risks that AMD
took on the process ("thingy") side to try and catch up with INTC have
totally "backfired" on them. It's amazing how quiet the AMDroids have
been about these recent "revelations". BTW IMHO, these very risks on the
process side have been expected and predicted by many on this thread for
quite some time ... Oh well, maybe AMD will do better (as NSC did) by getting
out of the processor business and focusing on FLASH.
