Bush did not acknowledge that a unilateral invasion risks destabilizing Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or Egypt -- any one of which would be a major strategic loss for the United States. We could have every Middle Eastern country in our pocket - and I mean the hearts & minds of the people, not just their corrupt governments - if we simply forced Israel to stop their terrorism against the Palestinians, and recognize the Palestinian state. Simply enforcing international law (UN 242) would do wonders for the world. Tom
