Welcome to SI with your first post.

When you prepare your message and are ready to post it, do not tick the " Use Fixed Font" box.
The fixed font box is to submit a post that contains columns of numbers and such. It helps keep them aligned but it is brutal for other text.
Someone else here may be able to contribute a better understanding of the posting problem you encountered.
