Is there a Jewish minority in Saudi Arabia? I would be surprised, if so...

There were significant Jewish communities in Iraq and Syria prior to 1946, as I recall. Also in N. Africa.. But they were evicted and their property confistcated outright.

And I see you "conveniently" avoided discussing the Coptic Christian minority in Egypt...

The point I was making is that non-Arab minorities seldom stand a chance of obtaining political representation, let alone power, within their countries.

So it's foolish to focus on Israel, which is under seige from without and with, and can not realistically be expected to practice full and unfettered equality for its Arab minority, when its loyalty is in doubt.

I would love to see Arab nations have as vibrant a democratic process as the Israelis possess.
