Rummy & Co. were allying themselves with Saddam and protecting him from punishment back then. Now, Rummy & Co. are telling us that his actions back then were criminal. After it was known he was doing bad things, Rummy & Co. took him off the list of "people doing bad things", in order to increase his ability to do bad things. While he was doing those bad things, Rummy & Co. helped him do those bad things. Thus, Rummy & Co. should not be trusted, and in fact should be punished.
