Stockholm, Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- The following are comments by Kurt Hellstroem, chief executive officer of Ericsson AB, the world's largest maker of mobile-phone networks. Hellstroem spoke at a press conference in Stockholm following the release of fourth- quarter earnings.

Ericsson posted a seventh straight quarterly loss as clients cut spending amid slowing subscriber growth and mounting debt.

On market outlook:

``The market will be flat to down 10 percent. As it looks now, it will be more towards the lower end of that.

``Customers are still reluctant, though the situation has started to calm down. It's not going up but it's not going down at the same frightful speed as before.

``We don't see any signs of an industry recovery. I don't want to lie to the market or to our employees -- things are still a struggle.''
