Actually, no, what she said was that people choose to take personally or not what happens on the threads. She said that it is silly to become very personal about it, because we cannot know each other well, nor do we know the extent to which self- consciousness or even lying is falsifying the picture we are presented. Therefore, she proposed the idea that it makes more sense to regard the threads as interactive literature, as it were, rather than real human interaction. I objected to this fairly strenuously, but at least I understood it.......
