Let'ts be careful in this oil discussion. Access to Iraq oil is NOT the issue here. Iraq has long been willing to vastly expand its oil production and investment in the oil fields if the sanctions are lifted. In fact it is the sanctions regime that is keeping Iraq oil off the market.

The Bushies want much more than access to Iraq oil. They want to turn Iraq into a de facto US colony like Kuwait. They want to totally CONTROL Mid-eastern oil, smash OPEC, and ensure Israeli dominance in the region.
