Lizzie, The CIO magazine is a monthly poll, so I don't think there is a "time delay" issue. On the "It never slowed down", it's not hard for me to believe that one in five companies never slowed their IT spending (the other four in five are the problem). And it's not bad that 43.8% expect their IT spending to pick up before the end of the year, while 11.7% say it already has. I think that these CIO folks may have a slightly optimistic bent towards their own department (?). John
