North Koreans don't even own cars. The gap is significantly greater than anything in Germany. North Korean TV still shows people measuring their wealth in terms of how full their rice box is. I am sure the gap between the two Koreas is much wider and starting at a much lower level then that of the Germans. However, keep in mind the West Germans consider the East Germans to be rednecks from Appalachia. Unlike the N. Koreans, they have their own car but its a twenty year old travante [sp?]. That's a Yugo with a lawn mower engine. Compare that to a W. German's Mercedes or even their Volkswagon. ted
