how does the analyst decide it is "trading below intrinsic value" -- that issue is inseparable from what they can / can't do with their money to make a return on investment --

if they can't do anything better than buy back shares -- how is the value below instrinsic??

If I own a company that pays dividends -- I am perfectly happy to take the dividends from away from what would otherwise be a profitable employment of the same funds.
