The trade actually makea alot of sense.
Unless QQQ 45 gets taken out the person got a huge credit.
He can sit and collect interest on that $.

No matter which way QQQ break, the person could cover some and play short or long as appropriate and the unwinding of puts could drive the QQQ in his desired direction.

There are plenty of reasons to do this trade.
