You know if we're going to be critical of America's attempts to turn Saddam into an American "friend" 20+ years ago, shouldn't we be even more critical of those who are buddying up to Saddam now?

Remember those brain-dead Democratic Congressmen who went to Baghdad during the last election to call George Bush, not Saddam Hussein, a liar? Remember all those leftists who have gone there over the last year to denounce the idea of regime change? Remember Scott Ritter?

The difference between 20+ years ago and now is we have so much more history to teach us what a genuine bastard Saddam is.
