Many are talking about the budget cuts to NASA. OF all the counties in the US, the county that houses NASA has the second most pork and the second highest budget allowances.the first being the Pentagon. IF the shuttle wasn't safe then there is no excuse for ANYONE to fly it. If decisions were made to fly without appropriate safety then shame on those men and women who made that decision. If it wasn't safe then they should have grounded it and made COngress appropriate additional money..................I don't remember the funding of NASA as being a campaign issue at all. If the space projects had been halted then it might have become an issue. Pat
