It seems even Gonsalves doesn't respect the Westphalian concept of national sovereignty, and instead is just too enamoured of playing Geopolitical Nintendo.

Its as if the rights of the mighty are to play with other nations and cultures and create "pre-emptive democracy". Neither our Constitution nor common sense gave us that right.

The US has too much prosperity, power and too much evidence of criminal elements in high places, to trust the information we get about Iraq. If the situation is as reported, war isn't the alternative, multinational UN-sponsored efforts are.

This idea of US-based unilaterial Executive Branch initiatives are suspect. The purposes have historically been less than honorable. The people haven't requested these actions. These are maneuvers by self-interested insiders.
